How to take Care of Chiffon Sarees?

The word Chiffon comes from the French which is called as Cloth or rag. Chiffon gives a transparent appearance because it is a lightweight plain woven fabric with mesh like weave. This fabric gives some stretch to clothes and make feel slightly rough. Chiffon is commonly made from cotton, silk or synthetic fibres. If Chiffon is made from natural fibres can be dyed to any shade or it is made from polyester, it requires specialized disperse dyes.
For manufacturing process, similar weighted waft and warp threads are used on the loom because it is a plain balanced weave. The fabric gives Checkered look which means mesh like effect is obtained by using the criss-cross pattern weave which is generally used for chiffon. Alternatively, twisted yarns are used in weaving the chiffon fabric which results in the slight creased of fabric in different directions. Chiffon fabric is mostly used in chudihar
dress materials, sarees, salwar kameez, scarves, belts and accents. The beautiful chiffon sarees and flow Dupattas and salwar kameez plays an important both in south and north India fashion for decades.
