Fabrics to wear in Summer

Its Summer time, many were going for picnics, barbecues, summer camp and other lot of outdoor activities to get fun. However, Outings will collapse, if you wear an uncomfortable clothes and feel the hot. Some fabrics are liable to catch the heat by providing a covered layer over the skin. Synthetic fibre such as polyester are tend to reflect heat back to the body and prevent the outward flow of warm and moist air. This material has the ability to absorb water.  This fibre cause discomfort and irritation because this fibre tend to be water repellent which allows sweat to build up and reduce evaporation.

Rayon is a semi synthetic fibre but it is made from natural raw materials, so its comes under natural fibre properties. This material tends to breath compared to the synthetic such as polyester. Wool and silk are not choices because they tend to retain heat. silk is liable to lose some of its strength through exposure to strong sunlight and perspiration.

Cotton

Cotton would be the best choice for summer because it is light weight and comfortable. In summer, you will get sweat while going outings and cotton likes to absorb water so your dress will become heavy and cling to your skin as the day wears on.

Linen.

Similar to Cotton, Linen is a cool and light weight Fabric. It is very Comfortable to wear. It has penetrable wave which allows heat to escape away from the body. It is highly absorbents which helps to remove moisture quickly from your skin. It is stiff and it won’t be cling to your body.

Rayon

Like cotton and linen, it is very cool and comfortable. It does not catch the body heat and it absorbs water easily when sweat comes out from the body. So it is suitable to wear on summer season. It needs to be dry cleaned rather than washed because rayon has limited durability. Another type called high-wet modulus (HWM) rayon, is much stronger and can be machine-washed.
