Indian Women’s clothes are slowly becoming more popular all over the world. Most of the women prefer traditional Indian garments now for special occasions or ceremonies.
Chudidhar and salwar is the most common outfit for women in India. This type of dress is popularly called as Indian dress or Pakistani garment. Kameez is said to be a long tunic or shirt and loose trousers are known as salwar. Salwar is usually worn with the matching stole or Dupatta.
Chudidhar outfit comes in modern design. Actually salwar itself gave the way for this kind of dress. On comparing two categories, chudidhar is said to be comparatively more artificial than that of the salwar kameez. One can conclude that chudidar is an alteration from the traditional styles to modern ones.
Almost chudidar and salwar kameez are look similar, only their curve or design in their fabric varies.

Chudidar can fit at your thighs, ankles or hips compared to salwar. Chudidhar is said to be fitted clothing and also comes in other way like fitted from the lower of the knee and looser from the upper part of it. Leggins are known as chudidar and baggy-bijamas like clothing are said to be salwar.
One more difference is there on comparing the two type of dress is that chudidhar looks lengthier than salwar. The end of chudidhar is gathered for fitting in at the ankle parts. The fold in the ankles looks like bangles, and hence it is known as chudidhar.
When compared to chudidhar, the upper part of salwar is little extensive. Chudidhar gives a shape and it looks a leg unlike in salwar. The crease is on the upper segment in salwar and this case is not seen in the chudidhar.
There are wide range of fabrics like satin, cotton fiber, silk, and crepe, brocade, georgette, and other heavy satins are available in salwar kameez and chudidhar kurtas. This type of dresses are designed with real silver and gold needlework and in addition decorated with valuable stones. Patterns with Phulkari, Meenakari sewing works which are complicated. It is also designed with Kundan and Zardosi patterns.
Nowadays chudidhar and salwars are available in different styles. On comparing the two, popularity credit goes to chudidhar, most of women love to buy chudidhar instead of salwar. Different shape of neck styles suits with chudidhar only.
